Barceda 1st Annual Lock-Up
Barceda Families
1st annual Valentine Lock-Up held February 13th was a huge
success. The event raised over $10,500, which will be used
for programs and services to benefit children and families in
Cedar County. Thank you to all the business leaders,
community leaders and community members that turned themselves
in and raised bail. Also thank you to all who donated
items to help make the lock up a great event.
Barceda Families awarded state contract
Missouri's Department of Social Services
Children's Division has announced the awarding of $600,000 to Barceda
Families. These funds will be used for our Stay at Home Parent Program
that targets families in Barton, Cedar and Dade Counties. SAHP program
provides education and support for parents of children under the age of 3.
Barceda held its
2nd annual Bowl-a-thon on April 26th at Speedway Lanes in Bolivar, MO.
There were 12 teams of 5 that were competing in the bowl-a-thon this year.
There was $6,500 raised which will help Barceda to continue to offer
assistance in the Polk county area.

Annual Golf Ball Drop
Barceda Families 2nd annual Golf Ball
Drop was a huge success. This year we doubled ticket sells, selling
more than 4,700 tickets and raising $13,783.
We would like to thank everyone that participated by purchasing
tickets and donating money and prizes without your support this
would not have been possible.
 
Barceda is now on
EBay and you can support the organization by buying or selling! Donations
will
be
auctioned off regularly. If you have your own store
or items to sell, you can donate anywhere from 10% - 100% of your profit to
Barceda Families with just a few clicks. Or, if you prefer, bring
items to the closest Barceda office, and we can sell your item without
troubling you. This is another great opportunity that will help
benefit the children and families served.
